    Need Help Gaining..

Whats up iron mag...im a newbie to this website but not a newbie to working out. SO basically im going to cutt to the chase...im 5"11 160-162lbs ectomorph and my overall goal is to get to 170lbs. I seem to be stuck at that weight and cant gain no matter how hard i try. Im thinking about doing a cycle to bust me up to 170. Ive always been against it but it seems like the only way i can reach my goal. Any ideas or tips on what i should do?

How many calories a day do you take in a day? How old are you?

I think keeping track of your diet for even a week will give you a good idea of where your at, and where you should be for weight gain. If you have an iPhone or iPad there is a free app called MyFitnessPal. You can even scan bar codes for easier input of items...

If your involved in sports or hit the gym hard 1.5g-2g of protein is plenty good enough. For example I'm the same height and currently weight 205lbs. I consume over 5000 calories a day, but that includes my shakes. Suggesting a calorie goal for you to meet can't be done without your daily intake being known. Once you figure it out, try to eat at least 1000 more calories, probably even more, and then see what happens...
