Thread: Dextrose gone off?

i have some dextrose i bought about 6 months ago, but have been storing it in a container that is not airtight, if i turn it upside down some of the dextrose can filter through and the dextrose appears to be kinda clumpy. But the colour looks the same, does it sound like it has gone off? Is there anyway of knowing if it has gone off? Thanks

It's fine. Just like how brown sugar and powdered sugar clump over time because of humidity, dextrose does the same. Shelf life of dextrose is approximately the age of the universe, give or take a few billion years.
