I started taking pure german grade creatine and nitrowhey about 2 weeks ago. I take 5-10mg and 1 scoop whey preworkout and same post workout, but I am having problems going to sleep. It's like I got hit with a bad case of insomnia. please help if you have been there before. thanks
You can try melatonin, (old enough) 1 out of 5 get nightmares, 3 out of 5 get vivid dreams...or calmative herbs like skullcap, camomille, Valerian, passion flower or hops (usually a combo product of those herbs is available, and works well)......Kava Kava works well to but has some new warnings, you should have healthy liver function and not mix with scripts...etc
I'm kinda not looking for something to put me to sleep. I just want to see if it could be the brand of whey or the creatine. I haven't heard or read anything about any side effects of sleep deprivation from either one. Just seeing if anyone else has. Thanks
As little as it takes...and not to often if you are under 30-35. (the industry used to have 6 and 10 mgs dosages, but regulated itself dwon to .5 to 3 mgs)
If you have trouble staying asleep, try 1-2 mgs of a "Controlled Release" (Jarrow or Twin Lab)
If you have trouble getting to sleep, liquids (esp Nutribiotics w/Kava or Nature's Plus liposomal spray) 20 minutes prior...or 1-3 mgs of any brand (Nutribiotics has one 3mgs w/250 mgs of Kava)... 40 -45 minutes prior to bedtime work well for most.
I definitely suggest trying the calmative herbs first
