I agree with those and would add EFA's like flax oil, fish oil.

BCAAS? is that like a pill or liquid ?
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: A desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.
Beverly International aminos are the only ones I would consider. They are pills.

I get them via my whey protein powder.Originally posted by Diesel

Dont put too much faith in fat burners, I see them more as energy assistants if anything. There is no magic pill IMO, not over the counter anyway.

Prince, I am a non-responder, and for me, it does nothing. I recognize that many others do, and that is fine. So basically, I'd consider it a second tier supplement, and not a basic supplement.Originally posted by Prince

I do object to paying for overly priced fancy "delivery systems" that do nothing more that what you can achieve with dextrose.
I'm thinking of getting the capsule form of CLA for accelerating fat-loss. Do you guys recommend this? Are there any side-effects of CLA supplementation?

I agree with this but I think I would move EFA's up a little. I also think Vit E is also important. It acts as an anti-oxidant, as does C! It also helps protect the heart!Originally posted by gopro

okay, completely understandable, however, given that creatine has more scientific testing/proof/evidence, etc. than any other supplement, even though you do not respond isn't it still an important supplement for the majority of people that will respond to it and deserving of being listed as a "basic" supplement?Originally posted by Twin Peak

I know enough non-responders on the net and in the real world to keep it out of the basics.Originally posted by Prince

I'd consider it the first choice though, when going beyond the basics. For example, I'd not recommend it to someone who is starting lifting for the first time.
Lastly, I do think that (assuming you have been lifting for a few months) you should probably take it, for the sole reason that it is so damn cheap. This probably sounds contradictory, but my point is it really shouldn't be included, IMO, with the rest of the things up there.
