Its whey protein right? Whey Isolate perhaps? I'm going to guess it might be on the expensive side.

Isopure is one of the most expensive protien isolates on the market, but it does taste good. Way too expensive.

$50 for 5 pounds or 10 pounds or? Isolate is usually more expensive than Concentrate by $20/10 pounds or so from what I've seen. I just buy regular old Optimum Nutrition whey in 10 pound bags.

IMO isopure works best for competitive bodybuilders who need that 110% effort....but for regular guys (like me...) who have smaller wallets, protein concentrates works fine...Thats just my opinion....

then they must have updated their formula !

but i bet it still cotains either Acesulfame K or sucralose, which are both bad !

either way, stick to something than has neither.

Its protein to fill in possible empty spots in your day, IMO there is nothing magical about it that makes it "work" or "not work." Opinions may differ but I use whey primarily when I wake up, pre and post workout.

I dont think its like comparing nitromethane to pump gas, its protein.

There isn't any Acesulfame K in it.

and sucralose is splenda, an artificial sweetener...

I thought Splenda was one of the "safe" sweetners?

Me too, so I've been doing some research...

The FDA approved it in 1998 but there have been less then 20 total studies done on the stuff and none on the long-term effects.

All I've read says it's not anywhere near as bad as aspartame, though.

This Dr. also talkes about whether it is Absorbed or Metabolized.

I think her saying "its a good source for whey protein" is what it comes down to honestly

I dont think most of us have to be so picky with what whey protein you get if you want whey.

Heavylinebacker, I'm another sophmore-to-be Linebacker. And trust me, when I first started buying protein I used nitro-tech because I thought all the hype and advertising was true. That was like 8 months ago. Believe me, unless mommy and daddy buy your supps for you money is gonna be really tight and if you wanna start something like creatine and glutamine later on, which believe me you will, it's gonna be hard using a fancy isolate protein. I'm not saying it might not be a a little bit better, on the order of maybe 2% more mass, But beleive me it's really not worth it. Heres where I get my protein after trying Nitrotech and Optimum and I decided to go with this, It works as good as either one of those, tastes better than Optimum, and I beleive it's less expensive.
    http://allsportsnutrition.com/listpr...0USA,%20L.L.C.
If you order from that site you sohuld get your order pretty quickly, and beleive me it's good protein.

My question is....how do you know that the isopure is helping you with your goals?? I mean...couldnt it be your diet?? or your training?? Everywhere I read that those 2 factors are more important that the exact brand of your protein powder..sure if you like it and have the money then what the hell...GO FOR IT!!...but if I was getting results from cheaper stuff I would stay on it....

I completely agree with you!!! My hubby used to drink myoplex but switched b/c I'm a picky eater and preferred the Isopure taste better.

The original question was regarding Isopure and that's why I chimed in.

If you want to have a good bulk then you're not gonna be able to shred untill AFTER the bulk cycle.

HeavyLineBacker - What fade is saying is correct! If you continue on the fat loss mode you can continue to build muscle but it won't be as significant as the muscle you would build while on a bulk.

    Make sense???
