    Post Few questions...

    1) Someone in my gym said that Creatine can cause cancer, can someone confirm this with me?

    2) I'm consuming 'Simply Protein Whey'. It's a powder form protein. I was wondering, will drinking too much of it make me fat? Also, should I blend it with plain water or should I blend it with skim milk?

    3) Are protein bars good?

    Thanks!

There is no evidence that creatine causes cancer. That is simply false. If I am wrong (and I'm NOT), than there a lot of people on this board that are going to get cancer caused by creatine!

Drinking too much protein WILL make you fat. You'd have to drink a lot of it though. Just stick to the suggested consumption on the label and you'll be fine (assuming you are using protein powder in conjuction with workouts).

Protein bars are a very good way to supplement your diet. There are many kinds of bars, and some are better than others. Tell us what kind of bar you're interested in and we can make some suggestions (low fat, how much protein, high/low carbs, number of calories, etc).

If the manufacturer is Worldwide Nutrition, than that is a popular and decent bar. For extra protein, vitamins, and calories, it'll work. I personally do not like that brand. I tried two of their bars and one of their protein drinks and they did not digest well (I got to know the men's room well) I'm just one guy though, and they sell millions of bars.

i think it depends on what you want. if you want the extra calories and extra protein then use the milk if not go for the water. i use soy milk in mine.

#1 answer: What doesnt cause cancer, I think creatine is the least to worry about.

#2 answer: I use watered down koolaide (orange) and vanilla whey, makes them taste like a orange cream popsicle.

#3 answer: Yeah there good, just make sure you have something to drink.

    Thanks!

Taking in more calories than your body burns will make you gain bodyfat regardless of whether those extra calories come from protein carbs or fat. The different macros have different propencties to be converted to bodyfat fat being the easiest and most likely and protein being the last macro and least likely to be converted to fat. But no matter which macro you eat, if you're taking in mroe fule then you burn off it will all ultimately be stored as body fat. So yes, indirectly too much protein makes you fat. Too many calories directly make you gain.

A lot of those protein bars are loaded with sugar.

Be aware of the "low carb" bars. There are two ingredients called Glycerine and Oligofructous, they are carbs, but not included in the carb total, just calorie total.

Prince, I am reading the ingredients of a Myloplex Low Carb bar right now. Ingredients #2 and 3 are glycerine and ogliofructose, respectively. Do these two ingredients contain a lot of carbs? There are only 240 calories in the bar, so the carb content of these two ingredients can't be THAT high. Just wondering.
