    Supplement help...

    Hello,
New to this forum and have been reading the past posts in the supplement section. Now, I must admit I am a stranger in a strange world. I am getting started in weight training as a way to supplement my Judo.

I my main goal/interest is increasing my strength. I hope to bring quite an improvement in the incress of strength, for that is my main concern. I would like to stay at the same weight that I am around, while still incressing stength and muscle size.

Now, I must say that I want to stay away from these pro-hormone supplements because they scare me with all of the reported side affects, I just dont think I want to take the chance (unless someone can show me otherwise).

I have been told that this product San's V-12 is quite a good creatine product. I was also told to take it with something called "Ribose". Looked that up in the search and found limited info. Just woundering if I am on the right track as a brand-spanking-newbie, or if there is something better for my goals.
    Thanks

Creatine is definately the way to go, I have not tried ribose personally because I don't think there is enough research to back it up and I don't know anyone who has tried it with any type of results.

Since your main concern is strength you will do best with a creatine product and an ephedra based stimulant product (although there aren't many left). Ribose can make a good adjunct to creatine when used in a high enough dose. I had good results from taking about 5 g of ribose before and after training along with 5 g of creatine after training. A stimulant will increase nerve force and enhance focus and concentration, leading to better lifts.
