It really depends on your diet but the basics are protein powder, multivitamin and creatine.

Is there any side affects of creatine at an early age? Is creatine expensive?
    Thanks

protien powder and a multivitamin are really all you need man, at that age you shouldn't concern yourself with buying supps, they are expensive and can be a waste of dough at any age, let alone 15. Worry about mastering your food intake, that is much more important to accomplishing your goals than supps are, believe that.

Take it in post workout and when you don't have time to fix a meal. I disagree natural guy, I would say the better basics would be protein powder, multi vitamin, and EFAS.

To me EFAS > Creatine any day.

I agree with that derek, EFA's are more valuable IMJO.
EFA's = Essential Fatty Acids, like ALA and CLA, they are good fats basically SP, you should read more into them, in fact look at the sticky at the top of this forum bro.

Nothing much to use guy. Just take a good quality Milk/Egg Protein Powder. Take 2 servings daily alongwith a good multi vitamin mineral support either from LEF or Animal Pak or AST.
Your body will produce enough creatine and Testosterone at this age.

my advice is get on a good weight gainer! N-Large is decent stuff, anything with whey and maltodextrin is good for putting muscle on

after a year or so of lifting you can look at taking creatine... i think you should get used to lifting and make some progress without it first, because you will make good progress without it when you start out

once you get so far you need creatine to get that bit futher, creatine is the shit man! it kicks ass over EFA's IMO

protein supplements (weight gainers) will get you big, creatine will get you bigger! just make sure you train hard

    peace

i would say watch out for nlarge it has alot of crap in it that will give you mass but alot of fat but at 15 your metabolism is probably real fast. i agree with test that you don't need creatine right now just a good protien powder if that i would just take in more food. supp become expensive especally at 15. just my 2 cents

creatine is natural... just get some pure creatine monohydrate and mix it with your gatorade after your workout... take like 10g glutamine before your workout and protein a couple times a day... along with EFA's and multivitamin, you'll get some nice results and won't be doing anything but fulfill your potential...

So what? I'm sure you could easily find A kid the same age who doesn't take creatine that can lift that. There is no way creatine is better than EFA's - especially from a health & longtivity stand point. EFA's have a million and one advantages.

I disagree that EFA's will produce better muscle results than a good creatine product taken correctly

EFA's and creatine are so different, i take both, because I feel they are both very nice supplements...

I dont think the kid at his age needs to be worried about creatine.

I also think that he needs to stay away with shakes with crazy amounts of sugars in them, because I just have this whacky feeling that the high amount of sugars that we have in our diet is partially responsible for diabetes, etc. A good protein shake, a multi-vitamin combined with a well rounded "real food" diet and a good workout routine and the kid should be set. He does need to make sure he is getting his Omega-3s though, as well as being important to the body, doesnt it also play a vital role in the mind?

    http://www.fatsforhealth.com/library...d%20Omega3.php

    http://www.everybody.co.nz/nutrition/20jun03_omega3.htm

I think that Omega 3s are lacking in the average US diet... being that he's from Texas its a sincere possibility that this is also the case for him.

Anyways, I'm sure he'll do just fine without the creatine, etc right now... but a good protein supp would be great

it's not a matter of worried about it.. but it can be a nice supplement to get a bit of extra pump... i agree EFA's rule... but no one has given any reason why he WOULDN'T want to take creatine...

I'm not trying to be right anymore... i just wanna hear someone say something negative about it so I can post 5 pages of reasons why they are wrong...

But Don't you thing, at age 15, his own body's creatine production will take a hit if he uses supplemental creatine.
I think a decent Egg/Milk Protein powder will be OK.

C'mon. N-Large is CRAP loaded with sugars. Most of them only like as it tastes good. ISS Research Gainers Matrix, Universal Nutrition Gain Fat, Beverly Intll. Protein and Dorian Yates Approved ProPeptide MBF are LOT BETTER!!!
