Chuck Norris once lost his keys and couldn't remember where he put them. So he tortured himself for half an hour until he gave up their location.

Eat like a pig, and before you sleep eat pizza, bread or low metabolizing food.

What helped me gain was the Meal replacement shakes (Protoplex), i taked 3 a day and eated 3 more foods + a snack before bed.

Gained 12 pounds in 2 weeks this way.

Train heavy and eat alot of quality calories. If you cannot eat that many calories than try adding some shakes or MRP's in addition to your meals.

    20 lbs = 70,000 calories

That's a LOT of food. Follow advice like everyone says. eat from clean sources, and lots and lots of it.

Increase protein intake, increase lifting, increase EVERYTHING. Us fast metabolism guys have to eat a ton to gain weight.

    Obviously food.

Since he posted this in the supplment forum, a good "weight gainer" powder might be helpful to get in the extra calories.

As Prince said, a good weight gainer can certainly aid in the process of getting bigger b/c you can drink alot of your daily calories. I made tremendous use of weight gainers in the beginning. You can also throw in some creatine for some quick extra weight through water retention in the muscle.

I agree with all of this except increasing lifting. By doing this you will be burning more calories during excersise. I have trained several guys who are hard gainers that had more succes by cutting back to weight training 3 times per week vs. 4-5. Remember you do not grow in the gym.

    well

i'm nautrally skinny and i'm tall, i struggle to put on muscle

i did 3 times a week weight training over the summer (as I was told that it would be enough for me)

However I seriously struggled to make progress, I was on this system for a month n' a half, with creatine and eating large. I really saw little gains. I was pretty innactive over the summer apart from the weights... maybe if I had a really busy lifestyle 3 times a week would do, but next time i'm bulking i'm going to look at 4 or 5 day splits

I feel a weeks gap between training a bodypart is not enough for me, due to previous experience of training routines

    peace

Cut all your cardio if you are a hard gainer keep your training sessions short(less then an hour)

    http://www.protraineronline.com/past/july2/nutrient.cfm

This will tell you your estamated cals needed. It isnt perfect but it give you a place to start. Bump you cals up 400-600 from your BMR and do this for a week if you arent gaining yet go up again a few hundred calsand keep doing this till you start gain weight but just becareful do you dont gain to much bf.
