Post Whey + Gainer

Since we consume Weight Gainers directly after workouts like Protein Whey, will it be alright to mix both of them and serve under one serving for post workout consumtion?

Thanks Prince. I think it's gonna work since Whey is just a form of protein and it's just as though a person adds in more protein into the Weight Gainer if you mix them. However, in that booklet, it's told to consume Weight Gainer 1 1/2 hours after a workout, while I usually drink my Whey within 30 minutes. So it's it still alright to mix them still? Or should I drink them seperately like Whey first, than 1 hour later Gainer?

You should always eat right after your workout, don't wait 1.5 hours. It's ok to mix them, but your gainer probably already has enough protein. If not, mix them.

The bodybuilding guy at MaxMuscle store here said that to drink it before a workout.

If you've only got one shake and have to decide when to drink it, between before or after your workout, after is MUCH better. That's when your muscles need it most and will suck up every molecule of protein you take in.

I don't use a full serving of weight gainer because I don't like all the sugar that's in it, so I put in a couple scoops of whey instead.

you could just mix whey protein and dextrose, it's much cheaper and you can adjust carbs and protein any way you want.

;-) Cytrix has the right idea, just grind up a multi-vitamin and add it to you whey and dextrose mix and *viola* you have weight gainer.
