Well I've been taking it for about a year and I do notice a difference while taking it. Basically creatine allows your muscles to retain water; thereby making you look bigger. Once you stop taking creatine the effect immediately dissapears. I personally have had success with it and still use it.

Just Be carefull and make sure you select a reputable brand. There is a lot of bogus stuff out there that contains toxic ingredients. I use the 100 percent pure creatine monohydrate by a company called ISS. I was told by other body builders as well as the health food store sales person to take a full rounded scoop (5 grams) 30 minutes before your workout, and 1 (5 gram) scoop after your workout (total 10 grams a day). Also you need to give your body a clearing period. While different people recommend different time periods, I take my creatine for 3 weeks on and 1 week off. Also I just had my blood tested for creatine toxidity and none were found. So, I know this brand is safe.

You may also hear people tell you that the liquid works better.
In my opionion the liquid is a waste of money.
