    Safe supplements for teens

I'm only 16 so i'm not interested in andro and stuff but i was wondering if there are any less "hardcore" drugs to take that are like steroids that would be safe for me to take. I take creatine and i have a few protein shakes left but i play football and i want an edge. Now days creatine isn't and edge because everyone already takes it.

    thanx

P.S. I don't want a bunch of people answering this thread telling me to go natural and crap like. I just want some info and stuff like growth hormones and stuff like that

-growth hormones don’t work for a lot of people, especially if you’re only 16.
-Pro-steroid, I’m already did them and they worked for me, a lot of people told me it was worthless because of my age at the time, they were wrong. And had not noticeable side effects. But unless you’re already 6’4 and 240lbs I would not try it because there is a good chance it will stop your growth. If you decide to them make sure you read about what you need to do for recovery, I had a few friends at school that did 1test and did not do anything for recovery. That’s how you fuck yourself up, when you don’t know what you are messing with.
-ZMA I have not heard or experienced any strength or growth increased directly from it, few people take it to sleep a bit more relaxed.

At the end I doubt you will find anything that will give you hardcore gains that it’s 100% guaranteed to have no side effects.

If you want to be safe than stick with your protein, creatine and a good diet.

thanx for the info katamaster. I'm pretty sure i'm not going to take the good stuff like anadrol but does anyone have any suggestions besides creatine, glutamine, and protein because i already have those? Keep in mind that i have a very low budget.

Growth hormone, ha. you think that isn't as hardcore as andro!!!!!! lol. Growth can run you a few grand per kit/month which you certainly don't have the money for. Plus you need to run anabolics along with it for months at a time at least to see anything. Plus you are 16, your hormone levels are hella high already, higher than they will naturally ever be. You don't need to mees with them right now. I know that you don't want to hear it but using any type of steriod or prohormone is foolish at your age man. You are too young for that shit. You say you want an edge, work harder and eat more, thats it. You are gonna fuck your hormone levels up b/c you want to do well in high school football, give me a break. is that really gonna be important in the long run. Stick with the OTC supps liek protien and start training consistently, that will be good enough for you.

Eat alot, train hard and get plenty of rest. That is what you need. Quit looking for a short cut.

I agree with dg806 - but you asked for a list so here ya go:

    - whey protein
    - creatine
    - glutamine
    - multvitimans
    - aminoacids

all those are safe, and pretty cheap supplements that give great results. I'd just stick to acouple of those n workout proparly ( rest, form, intensity, etc )
    These are my favorite faces : - - -

At your age, I don't think you're going to feel the effects of Glutamine.
I should say, a Protein (Milk+Egg) shoule be your 1st choice rather than Whey. Add some good Multi Vitamin (High in Vit B Complex, Vit C & E) and extra bit of Zinc before you sleep to promote your T-Levels.

glutamine is worthless as far as muscle gains anyways. It is definately not a necessity or even a real benefit IMO. Not worth the money. As far as the protien, milk and egg is NOT a better choice than whey bro. sorry. why do you think that. Dairy fat is not a good thing. Stick with the whey as far as protien supps go. You can also go for the casien protien if you are looking for a protien to ingest before bed due to its slower absorbtion rate. Casien can also be fou nd in things like cottage cheese though. Definately go with the whey though man. Go ahead and read up and it and you will see.

If you have one of those crazy workout that our coach makes up do that goes for 2 hours + and then the running I will DEFINITELY recommend glutamine. it will help you in your recovery, and you’ll be ready next day for another pounding. I can fell the difference when I take glutamine and when I don’t. I just fell so much better when I do take it.

Well our offseason stuff is just lift for hour mon-fri and then do some quickness stuff on the field. That means i'm either going to do upper body or lower body 3 times a week which i'm not used to so i guess the glutamine would help with that. I was also wondering about V12. I've heard good things about it mostly about the long lasting pump you get from it. Why is it good to have a long pump? just so your muscles look bigger for a couple more hours than usual? i take prolab creatine right now. I know that V12 i pricey but i'll do just about anything to get bigger and stronger for football. i need to if i want to play varsity this coming year. I'll be a senior next year so i have about 8 months to get fast and strong for my last year.

having a pump last longer means absolutely nothing in terms of achieving hypertrophy.

pump is how the feeling of how much bigger you feel directly after working out, it goes away, but the feeling is like a drug to most of us...

Hypertrophy is what causes the muscles to grow bigger and stronger...

in case you wanted to know:

    Main Entry: 1hy·per·tro·phy
    Pronunciation: hI-'p&r-tr&-fE
    Function: noun
    Inflected Form(s): plural -phies
Etymology: probably from New Latin hypertrophia, from hyper- + -trophia -trophy
    Date: 1834
1 : excessive development of an organ or part; specifically : increase in bulk (as by thickening of muscle fibers) without multiplication of parts
2 : exaggerated growth or complexity
    Are you kidding me????
