Serious Question to Best Think Tanks including Gropro--->

Ok. Till now I've believed that for any protein to work continuously for more than 5 hours straight, IT HAS TO BE CASEIN.
That's exactly nearly All the Manufacturers Claim. VPX Micellean and other brands are basically Micellar Casein based.

Very Interestingly, Designer Whey INSIST: "This product is 100% whey protein. No inferior protein sources like casein, caseinate, soy, or egg have been added. This is very important since adding slow-digesting proteins like casein can form a hard gel in your stomach limiting the release of whey and decreasing it's protein synthesis properties. In fact casein is digested so slow that protein synthesis is decreased by 368% when compared to whey protein"

Have you heard this??? "In fact casein is digested so slow that protein synthesis is decreased by 368% when compared to whey protein"?????? Sounds too good to be true.

If this was true, no manufacturer would have used Casein in their Products!

I have a question for Best Think Tanks including Gropro:
Is is possible for protein to have continuous effects for 8 hours straight without a zit of Casein Fractions in it?

BTW, Designer Whey is very Respected company when it comes to Proteins.

No, there is not a way to do this as of now, but maybe in the future. Supposedly, Designer came out with glycerlean, which was supposed to accomplish this task, but since they never published any data showing it to work, I imagine their claims have gone by the wayside.

In regard to the posting by Designer Whey, I imagine this is just some sort of spin. Generally, when a supplement company gives research results without an accompanying source, there is reason for it. My guess is there is actual research supporting this claim, but maybe they checked protein synthesis over a 3 hour period. During this period, some of the casein would not have had even been absorbed yet and, therefore, would not have affected synthesis. If they had done this over a full 8 hour period, I imagine the results would have been quite different. Also, it has been found that casein leads to more protein RETENTION than whey does simply because whey is absorbed too quickly and some of it is converted to glucose by the liver.

Regardless of any of this, I always recommend casein before bed and whey post workout. If I had to choose one in the middle of the day, I would go with casein, assuming you don't want a blend.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

The speed at which whey is absorbed is overrated. It stays in the system for up to 4-5 hours. Because of this, the only place for casien in a diet is when you will not eat for more than 5 hours, typically only before bed.

Otherwise, whey is superior the balance of the time. I'd not be concerned with a statement that casien decreases protein synthesis or that "casein can form a hard gel in your stomach". or other such nonesense though.
