Question Weight Cutting gone dumb

OK Last year during wrestling season I was taking Ephedra products to help me cut weight and it was working great. Well this year ephedra became hard to find so I tried taking ephedra-free - Metabolife I dunno I just grabbed something. Well I realized that was completly worthless so I searched around and bought Hot Rox. Ive been taking it about a week now and nothing is really happening. In wrestling you sorta starve yourself and today I ate nothing drank about 2 bottles of water and took pills and I gained weight. They say you'll feel warm from taking Hot Rox... I dont. Atleast with Ephedra I knew it was working.
Am I just looking for results too early or is Hot Rox worthless. Or am I using it wrong I dunno help me out.

Well most people dont know how to cut weight so they think by not eating you will lose weight. And I was at a tournament all day today so I dont know how I could have gained weight.

Starvation mode. You should really come into the season just about 8 lbs overweight. Generally, you will have a month or 2 before your first tournament or dual which gives you plenty of time. You are really not doing yourself any favors right now by doing this. As I have mentioned before, i recommend a CKD for wrestlers, but i would be hesitant to recommend it to high school wrestlers. Do a search for cyclical ketogenic diet on this site and see what you think.

If sense were common, everyone would have it.

i wrestled. i understood what you meant by 'starving yourself' as i used to watch the other wrestlers wrap themselves up with garbage bags and sit in saunas. me? i kept to my diet that i used for bodybuilding shows. the guys that starved themselves and used garbage bags did ok at the events. although they said that they felt awful.
the ephedrine is the key missing ingredient. I haven't used it in 6 or 7 years. on it, you can do almost endless amounts of activities. so it's a combination of thermogenesis as well as increased energy.
what you gave up with the ephedrine will have to be replaced with a more realistic diet and exercise program. in my competition days i worked thru the week on a medium low to low- carb diet with the weekend being a higher carb day.

worthless.
you are holding water due to your diet strategy.
don't take eph during football as you will certainly overheat possibly to the point of stroke.
Dont' bother with eph.
when is your event? a week? i hope you are close to weight as you will lose 4-8 pounds this week ( nerves mainly ) if you are eating something.

if you continue to eat nothing, you will hold water like a sponge.

eat something; you don't say how much you weigh or what weight class you are trying to hit.

your age?

You mainly loose water weight. I've lost around 10 pounds in a practice before. Try lowering your sodium intake, for less water retention. Goodluck! Oh yeah, get a rubber sUIT!

almost every wrestler I know loses tons of weight during teh season, they need to drop like 30 lbs or soem crazy shit. Almost none of them og about it right I can say. Of course doing it right takes much longer than doing it in starvation mode. It is too bad to see what some of the guys go through days before the meet.

Forget about the supplements for now...you're approach is way off. By starving yourself, your body is going to hang on to any calories it gets. You need to eat a clean/limited diet and hit up cardio. This is why I always hated wrestling so much. I can't imagine how some wrestlers who lose so much weight in so little time have any strength for their matches. It almost seems to defeat the purpose. You might want to make sure to maintain your bodyweight near what you wrestle at or just move up a class.

There is fine line between losing weight AND muscle or losing weight while maintaining muscle...but the last thing you want to do is NOT eat.
