VPX, Biotest & Beverly: Way too Overpriced!

Do the exorbitant prices of various products these companies carry match their quality or is it just a way of recovering the money they lose in massive advertising?

Optimum, Prolab, Universal has very DTE Pricing. Does that mean their products are inferior to above mentioned companies?

To what extent the rule "You Get What You Pay For" hold good when buying basic supplements like Whey Protein & Amino Acids?

The quality that goes into Beverly and VPX's products well justify the cost. No proteins are the market match Bev's Muscle Provider. It is over 70% CFM isolates and hydrolysates. Their amino's have about three times the Amino Nitrogen/Total Nitrogen rating of others on the market. VPX is the same way. They use the best raws and best manufacturing equipment. With these companies you get what you pay for.

I have never used VPX, but I can honeslty say that Bev Internation is without question, the real deal. They were the first supplement company I used back in the early/mid '80s. Back when the only think around was Weider and a little twinlab. If anything is overpriced, it is probably the garbage that we buy that advertises on every other page. Bev has never mass advertised

The thing about Beverly is that they will do diet plans and so on for people. They spend a lot of time trying to help people, which in the end should be worth something. They also produce tons of literature to hand out, which is nice.

That is exactly right about Beverly. I have been working with them on my diets for nearly two years and have never been charged a dime. They seem to go out of their way for their clients. I actually got a b-day card from them this past year that was personally signed by Roger Redeinger.

I've used Beverly International Muscle Provider and VPX Clen. I also have just started VPX Redline. Both companies are a bit pricey, but you are definitely getting quality with both.

Yes they are a bit overpriced, especially for the working man on a budget, but when you want the goods you stick with experience, and for me both BEV and VPX are the goods!@

These company's do have good products but they are not necessarily any better. Whey concentrate is whey concentrate. There is little to no difference in company to company of reputable supp makers. Whey Isolates are just more filtered than concentrates and the body will tell no difference in the little extra % of protein. Your pocket book will however.(this is just one example)

I've never used Beverly but people's experience there sound like mine at Universal. When you call, they always have live people answering and trainers/bodybuilders there to answer any supplement, training, or dieting question. They even gave me honest answers about their competition's products (no, not negative stuff) once. I've also used their "Asked The Pros" section at their website and always get responses within 2-3 days. I guess this level of customer support is another reason I stick to Universal. In the end, as dg806 has said, products are products. But like Beverly, Universal goes the extra mile...

Universal makes a lot of crap products however. I wish you could have listen to one of their sales reps talk to me in regards to products and so on. God the knowledge or lack of was amazing. Needless to say I tore him a new ass.

Universal Ultra Whey is not Crap.
Their Soy Pro is not crap
their Animal Pak, Creatine, Glutamine, Cell Pro, Unilever, EGG PROTEIN, MILK & EGG PROTEIN is not crap.!!

I wonder what maked you feel Crap about them (Except for Animal Stak-Which IMO is dangerous product)

Maybe you're running your own online business!
Or maybe they ain't giving you the geed discounts!

Logically speaking I couldn't find a sigle reason why their products are Crap!!

Everyone has their own opinions on supp companies. Some that did'nt work for me, I think are crap, but they may work for the other guy, and he won't. , so calm down, it's just opinions.

I guess when I say crap I mean it in a different way. Overpriced products are defined as crap by me. Anything animal related is crap, both on value and contents.
