Swole V2 + Cutting?
I always thought you shouldnt take creatine while on a cut, but I read a thread where someone did...
Is it ok to take swole v2 while I'm cutting? I'm 5'11, 158lbs, almost 18 yo. Will this negatively affect my cutting? And since i have never taken a form of creatine I think I will load. |

Don't go through a loading stage, and I couldn't see how cutting would mess up the effects of swole v2? Maybe loosing water weight would diminish the effects it? I'm not sure. But don't load.

may i ask if you're really sure you want to be cutting at 5' 11" and 158 lbs? i'd think you'd be much better off packing the food in, training hard, keeping your diet clean and gaining some muscle especially at 18.

Another thing is the crazy amounts of sugars in the transport systems... That's alot of carbs. Search around IM for the no loading question. I personally forget why, but I remember reading it.

Edit: I dont see anything wrong with using Creatine whether you're cutting or bulking. It's good stuff. Also, I'm 5'6 and 160 lbs. I would never think about cutting right now. Last edited by Var : 12-26-2003 at 02:55 PM. |

How long have u been training? If you're new to it, you'll lose some fat while gaining muscle in the beginning. I think at your weight, you should bulk. Bulking doesnt necessarily mean putting on A LOT of fat. Do a clean bulk and you should be able to keep fat to a minimum.

NeedMuscleMass, I just suggest you don't cut to be honest with you, bulk up a bit. But you really want to do this. Get pure creatine monohydrate. It'll work better than no creatine at all. Take it with your PWO shake.

Donno man you sound confused on what you should be doing. Just do what you feel needs to be done. Just because your gonna bulk doesn't mean your going to get fat, you sound pretty active, and I know hockeyplayers are pretty damn solid as it is. So just make the decision, get bigger right now, or get ripped out?

a month of training is nothing, eat a lot of protein "clean bulk", do about 10 pounds and then start cutting if you want, if you do everything right those 10 pounds should be like 7 pounds of muscle.... but do some research on it, everyone is different..... im 5'11 and around 212 pounds at 17%BodyFat.... And i just started cuting,
i took it to far but its ok once im done ill be about 8% BF and 195 pounds.....Another thing is are you trying to "get big" or just be in good shape for hokey ?

Yeah I know I just started training.
I think I'm going to go with another 2-3 weeks of cutting just to get off all the fat i had from eatin fast food every nite lol. Then i'll try to add around 10lbs and bring training to 4 days. How does that sound? And for hockey I'm looking to get bigger so i could guard the puck easier when circling. Thanks for all the help Jesse |

In that article it cautions against taking creatine with juices--- "Creatine should be taken with a high-carbohydrate meal or beverage, but high-fructose components (e.g. fruit juice) should be avoided because fructose does not elicit a significant insulin response." Isnt grape juice what alot of people take with creatine?? Also it says that caffine might adversly affect the effects of creatines --- "Caffeine has been reported to adversely affect the efficacy of creatine supplementation." does anyone know more about this? Im going to be starting a EC stack tomorrow and wanted to get on swole V2 within two weeks. Am I better off just going through a cut w/o the creatine(swole). Thanks |
