    Methoxy--has it ever been tested/studied?

    Has anyone ever seen any clinical evidence for or against Methoxy? I've heard a thousand testimonials about it, good and bad, but no research at all.

    here is what EAS has on their product page:

    Yeah, but notice that EAS's Methoxy Factor HP "...is a combination of two highly anabolic compounds – Beta-Ecdysterone and 5-Methy-7-Methoxy-Isoflavone..." which means that the Beta-Ecdysterone is a DIFFERENT substance than the Methoxy. EAS provides citations for the Beta-Ecdysterone and then skips any verification of Methoxy at all.

    Yes,there have been actual clinical studies done on methoxy.They were done in Europe many years ago when one specific company was looking for a natural anabolic compound.They found almost "steroid loike" results with methoxy,but soon afterward abandoned the project for I'm not sure what reason.Has this study ever been replicated...no.I believe the name of the company was called Chinion.Anyway,you may be able to do a search to find more info on the actual study/results.

    i have read a two articles in muscular development magazine a while back, and they concluded, that these compounds are very questionable in having any measurable effect.

    Cytrix...I have never personally tried Methoxy,but know a few people that said they did get some measurable results.My advice would be to take it for about 6-8 weeks,with no other changes to your program,and monitor results.That is really the only way to see if it works for YOU.It does have some good research behind it,but that DOES NOT mean it will work in the real world.

    I have been using it for a whole year & no change. I think it is a waste of money.
    I have alot of friends that say that NITRO
    TECH IS supposed to be very good !The methoxy-pro costs $28 bucks a pop.Big waste of money I say. Tastes good though!
    My advice would be to not waste your hard earned money on it unless your rich & loaded
    Never say never & never give up. There is ALWAYS someone worse off than you !

    This, like many other things is an individual matter. One of my employees gained 5 solid pounds in one month from methoxy pro.I personally did the bodyfat tests.

    Was the weight from water. I can gain alot of weight in 1 day due to water retention. Its pretty hard to gain 5 solid pounds of muscle,naturally, in one month unless someone is juicing.

    No GYM GURURU....I know the difference between lean weight and water. He gained 5 lbs of muscle.

    5ounds of muscle in one month is Extremely difficulf . What types of workouts were you doing. The normal average muscle gain for a natural bodybuilder is 1/2 a pound of muscle a week,if everything is done right. I have been bodybuilding & lifting weights for years & can only gain 5 to 7 pounds in a year. Look at all the big time bodybuilders , they averagely gain 10 lbs a year.
    One year they will weigh 250 on stage & the next year maybe 260lbs. Whatever your doing is great. I need some of that. Lets
    calculate. 5 lbs a week equals 20lbs a month. If you did something wrong then maybe you will gain 10lbs a month.Damn , if you gained 10lbs a month for 12 months then that means you could gain 120lbs a year. I say in the ext two years you will be Mr. Olympia. . Its hard to believe that 5 lbs a month of actual muscle with just Methoxy pro can be atained.
    Maybe though . IMO I think Methoxy pro is a crock of shi....
    About a year ago Methoxy pro was advertised in all the magazines. I got the new flex magazine & it is not in there once.
    The only protein that is holding its weight is Nitro tech . I am sure you know how to do a bodyfat test
    but sometimes they can be a little misleading.

    Gym Guru...first let me say that I didn't say it was me that gained the 5 pounds, but one of my employees(he is a personal trainer). He has been training for about 5 years, so he is somewhat experienced. He really did gain 5 solid pounds in one month off of Cytodyne's Methoxypro, but that does not mean that every month he will continue to gain another 5 lbs. Perhaps methoxyisoflavone does have a positive effect in some and not others...and perhaps he was just an extreme case. I did not intend to use his gains as total and absolute proof that methoxy is a great supplement, but just to say that perhaps it shouldn't be dismissed completely. Hey, the first time I took creatine I gained like 12 pounds the first month, but since then, never have repeated those gains...although I still love the stuff. Anyway, I hope that clears it up 4 you Guru.

    Your right on the hammer. I do feel that many supplements work & some work better for others. I just did not get any gains & I am bitter for spending all my loot. I'm sure your buddy did have some gains & I did not mean to be such a di@khead. My bad. Keep up the great working. Hey by the way,how is your buddy doing in the personal trainnig business. I am planning on doing it on the side once I GET OF my lazy butte & get my license.

    My buddy actually works for me as I own a personal training studio for the past 3 years. I have been a trainer full time for about 10 years now, and I really enjoy it. It can be tough at times, but I love helping people. If you work hard you can make good $.

    Understand that most protein
    powders are nothing more than a concentrate of
    macronutrients and some micronutrients.<br> This is a good place
    to start my final topic. Some protein powders are
    more than food concentrates. Some companies have began
    to add various supplements into their protein mix
    including but not limited to ephedrine, caffeine,
    methoxyisoflavone, ipriflavone, creatine, d-pinitol, and HMB. Be
    wary of these products because these additions often
    jack up the price considerably, for minuscule dosages
    of the ingredients. Some companies also add creatine
    under less familiar name. For instance, MethoxyPro by
    CytoDyne Technologies adds creatine to their formula, but
    they list it as N-methyl-N-guanylglycine. Therefore
    the user adds additional weight (from the creatine
    uptake), and credits the protein for these gains.
