Muscle relaxer. Is it good for anything?

I heard something about muscle relaxer but I am not sure why to use it.
Don´t know if it is good just for surgery or something like that.
I like muscle soreness but sometimes it is too much , muscle relaxer can help ? If it helps will not stop any progress?

I use muscle relaxers for severe muscle pain and spasms, in fact I just got 90 tabs of Cyclobenzaprine the other day from an online pharmacy. I like to have this on hand just in case I feel pain in my back, or a spasm, etc.

They have no negative effect on muscle growth? Not even temp? Just curious... I often feel like I might need a muscle relaxer but I also may just need a day off or perhaps some more vitamin C
