    Caffeine?

Ok my friend as a joke bought me "Up You Gas" Energy booster as a joke. I guess b/c he liked the name, yea hes retarded.

    This is whats in it:
Up Your Gas 30 Ingredients: Up Your Gas 30: Guarana Seed Extract…1200mg (Paullina cupana), Kola Nut (cola acuminata), Yerba Mate Leaf Extract (lies paraguariensis), Quebracho Bark Extract (aspidosperma quebracho-blanco), Korean Ginseng Root (panax ginseng), Cayenne Pepper (capsicum frutescens), Krebs Cycle Chelates (calcium, magnesium, potassium), Spirulina Blue-Green Algae (spirulina pratensis), Wheat Grass (triticum vulgare), Bee Pollen, Barley Grass (hordeum vulgare), Gotu Kola Leaf (centella asiatica), Niacin, Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopheryl succinate), Ginkgo Biloba Leaf, Lipoic Acid, Inosine, Octacosanol.. Caffeine. Does not contain MaHuang, Ephedrine.

It has a total of 170mg of naturally occuring caffeine in it. I took one today before I went into the gym with my ephedrine hoping it would do something for me but as ussual it didn't work. Should I bother wasting my time with the rest of the 29 tabs or should I just buy some 200mg anhydrous caffeine pills? Or should I try doubling the pills to see if they work?

I have used Up Your Gas, and I think they suck. We nicknamed them "Up Your A$$" on our cross country team, becuase if you took them before a race your first mile was good, and then game over.

200mg. of Anyhydrous Caffeine will get you upped in a hurry and doesn't have all of the strange adjuncts that herbs have. Plus, its cheaper. It's what the studies are based on.

Ok well wow. Today I tried it again but instead of 1 I took 2 with my ephedrine. I have to say I have found a new best friend. I will still switch to the other caffeine b/c its cheaper but now I know what it feels like and love it. It sux now I have to wait a whole day before I can go back to the gym because now I'm ready to rip it up again lol. Thanks for the advice on everything people and I hope Anyhydrous Caffeine rather then the mixed herbal one provides the same effects.

Hell yea definatly better, and it carrys over for a long time. Today was a longer day for me doing back, tri's, and calves and I was fine the whole time. I had no problem cramming my 5 day schedual into 3 this time heh. I think this will help me out alot more now and I can maximize my lifting time.

But one side effect is I get a little jittery. Like my hands and shit but I can deal with that while in the gym. Its afterwards while I try to type on my comp and shit like that when it bothers me. But I'll sacrifice it for the extreme workouts I get.

Hah...jittery after taking speed?! No way!

Just a note, I'd probably not take two 200mg. pills of anhydrous with effedrine to start, just one. It's a lot more potent. By the time you took double the "Up Your Gas," you probably got a 200mg dose (after all is said and done and your body processed the herbs).

Just don't take it anywhere near bedtime, and make sure you get 8 hours sleep a night.

Otherwise all of your extra hard work won't translate into gains, as your body won't get the needed downtime to repair, i.e. monster-ize.
