    L-Glutamine

    Hello
Ive been training for about 10months now and dont take any supps as i have a stomach condidtion called Chrones Desieas (cant spell) but was reading through this article http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/su...s-benefits.htm
and it was stating that L-glutamine can help cure intestine problems and ulcers, now this is basically what chrones is, so was thinking ill give it ago, is it ok to take glutamine on its own with out any other supps or does is have to be taken with say whey
    Cheers for any advice

I take it wit my protein shake as well. They sell it in pill form so I'm sure you can take it alone. Good Luck!

This may be a situation where glutamine may be helpful (don't expect me ever to say that phrase again)

I would say 99 percent of everything I have read about Glutamine is positive. The 1fast400 article is one article among millions. One word of advice is take everything you read about supplements with a grain of salt. Read everything you can up on it, and I would advise to go for it. I take 10mg post workout and I HAVE seen improvements in my recovery, although it took me about 2 months to really feel its effects.

Yes, post workout is benefical...To further your knowledge of Glutamine, the article on 1fast400 is good, but also if you're interested refer to the studies listed below the article. Also depending on who wrote the articles too, but this seems very legit coming from a site that sells glutamine to be anti glutamine.

Well I think the article focuses on people expecting a lot of growth from glutamine by taking it all day, in high doses. I know glutamine helps certain stomach conditions and other problems, but for bodybuilding, I think the only PROVEN time to take it for its effects on bodybuilding are post-workout. But different studies show different things.

Glycocyamine is supposed to be extremely good and I believe has relation of Glutamine, but Im not sure.

Maybe someone can tell me if I am crazy! I was on prevacid for acid reflux and indegestion. I started taking creatine and was able to go off the prevacid. The only times I have flare ups is when I am on my off week of my cycle. Is creatine beneficial?
