FDA: Sales of Ephedra to Stop by April

Sales of Ephedra must stop by early April, the Food and Drug Administration said Friday in finalizing its ban of the herbal product.

The FDA first announced in December that the ban was coming, but on Friday issued a regulation formally setting it in motion. The law requires a phase-in period, and the FDA says sale of Ephedra will become illegal on April 12.

If you still choose to purchase Ephedra based products leading up to the ban, please be aware of the FDA's warning on this ingredient. You may find more information by clicking here.

There are many effective alternatives to Ephedra products, including Metabolic Thyrolean and Xenadrine EFX.

..i worry plenty about it. i prefer ephedra over ephedrine by far. some people say the opposite but i'm not the only one. i don't like the vasapro or any of the other epehdrine base products i've tried nearly as much as the ephedra.

so while it's good that ephedrine isn't going away... that doesn't make me less upset about the ephedra.

by the way, if you live in CA, NY or IL it's already too late - those states banned it before the Feds

ephedra and ephedrine have for the most part already been band from over the counter sales here in canada, unless you go to one or two supplement shops I know of. Its a leading ingrident in meth so that why they capt sales here.

Has anyone has any success with EFX? I once bought it by accident when both were on the counter. I thought it was garbage.
Has anyone tried the hydroxidrine? It's supposed to have the ingredients that xenadrine and hydroxycut both have.
Although I thought they were pretty much the same, each supposedly has some things the other dont.
I'm stocked up on the vaspro right now, taking it with asprin & a double espresso before a workout. But I'm one of those people who falls for the advertising and that hydroxidrine looks pretty good to me.
    Anyone, anyone?

What makes you prefer the ephedra? The ephedrine in the ephedra is what gives you that thermogenic effect, anyway... right?

I'm honestly not sure. I tend to feel more "alert" and awake on the ephedra and just jittery with epehdrine. I'm glad I'll still have that option and I will use it sometime in the future.

I've tried a lot of the different products and for some reason AST Dymetadrine Extreme has always been my favorite.
