    Weight Gainer

I'm 16, Is it safe for me to be taking weight gaining supplements. Also is it safe for me to be taking creatine and protein? What is a good weight gain product? (safe for my age).

i think most weight gain products will be okay for you to take as well as protien and maybe creatine. I say maybe for creatine b/c you have to be careful when taking but but no real worries if you drink enough water and use as suggested on the product label.

I used a weight gainer called prolabs N-Large 2. I got the chocolate flavor and it was pretty good but better mixing it in a blender rather than a spoon or shaker bottle. It is really thick and one serving size is 4 scoops. I took 2 scoops with 8 oz. milk then an hour later took the other 2 scoops. When I drank all 4 scoops at one time i felt really full and just wanted to sit there. I mean it is 600 calories w/o adding milk per serving. I recommemd it and it's totally safe for your age.

I would take it twice a day or atleast once a day but definately everyday. I took mine after my work out (half serving only 2 scoops like i posted before then 2 other scoops an hour later for one serving). Reason being the weight gainer product is already broken down and after you work out you want something that is easy to digest and "real food" takes time to digest, where as the weight gainer is already "done" for you so to speak. Thats why i took mine after workout always.

Before work out a took a protien shake (100% whey from Optimum Nutrition) and some fruit or a cereal bar, just something to get me through and in my protien shake i added a serving of creatine. It's okay to mix them
