    Supplement Guidance

I am relatively new to supplement use, having only cycled creatine over the past several years of working out four times a week. I also supplement my protein intake with shakes and bars, and take a multivitamine from GNC.

I am in very good condition as a result of working out, but wanted to experiment with additional supplements to increase my size. I bought BSN Nitrix and the Animal Pak and Stak, along with Hot Rox to cut some fat. I initially intended to use the Nitrix alone, but was taking ECA Stack and the Nitrix specifically warned against using it with ephedra. Once I was out of the ECA, about two weeks ago, I began taking all of the supplements at the same time. I take Nitrix and Hot Rox in the morning, 30 minutes before breakfast, then again 6 hours later. I take a third dose of Nitrix sometime before dinner. I eat a protein bar at 11:00 am, then take the Animal Pak a half hour later, then the Animal Stak at 1:15 pm, 45 minutes before working out at 2:00 pm.

Although it's only been a couple of weeks, I have only noticed a little extra zip during my workouts, no noticeable increase in strength, and a lot of near gagging taking all of these very large pill supplements. My question, finally, is, am I wasting my time and money with this stuff? Should I be taking Nitrix at the same time as the Animal supps? How long should I wait to seriously evaluate the benefits of using these supplements versus the cost of doing so? Is there a norm to follow? Thanks, jp
