    Instone nutrition

    www.instonenutrition.com

I signed up for some free samples on their website a few weeks back, completely forgot about it until the samples got here today. Normally i just sign up for free shit because... well, its free.

I wasnt expecting much, but some of their stuff looks suprisingly good. This "Leanfire" stuff has the following:

    50mg 7keto
    Guggulsterones
    Evodiamine
    Rhodiola
    300mg caffeine
    135mg EGCG
    650mg tyrosine

The guggul, evo, and rhod are all a proprietary blend of 255mg.

Some of it seems a little underdosed... especially the 7keto. But its an interesting combo. I havent found any pricing yet, but i doubt itd be cheap enough to make me stop buying raws and mixing up my own concoctions.

I have been watching the magazine ads, must be nice having tens of millions of dollars to spare to launch a supplement company.

As far as I can see it's only hope is "star power", honestly I will be surprised if it makes it. The reason I say that is because it will not return the type of money Stallone will want it to, hence he will not want to dump any more money into it, just like Planet Hollywood.

HUGE marketing push! Stallone has to be spending millions on it.

Several 1-2 full page ads in every mag I have picked up: MD, M&F, IronMan, Flex, you name it.

this line will be very big...gnc is promoting it very big also right now...just got some of their protein packets last week for dirt cheap b/c i did a return on some old shitty mrps and i like the vanilla mrp they have....they will do fine...the reasons i say that is b/c they must have a good marketing man working there...now this may sound dumb, but thats why marketing agencies get paid high money....first the boxes and bottles are very nice to look at and get u interested in the product....they glare at you and make u feel good....(yes that sounds dumb, but it works)they have stallone working it who is wdely known...many pple will buy b/c of him...and last, he's promoting it on national tv, with his new show...

see what happens when u minor in marketing..lol

yes, star power and marketing work, but only for so long.

btw, Stallone is the founder, he is not just "working on it".

I got my samples in the mail, and I must say, I was impressed by the packaging AND the ingredient profiles. The MRP has the best nutrient breakdown of any I've seen. And the fat burner looks to be HIGH doses of everything except the 7-keto, as someone points out...I'll report back with taste of the MRP.

Yes--I wanted to be a "hater" on this stuff, coming from a rich actor and everything, but the supplements are quality. They're doing a good Anti-E as well. A small, solid, well-packaged line will do well. Look at Ergopharm or similar--they keep the product mix small and quality, which is a good idea from a business standpoint.

Stallone is interested in this company for much more than to make bank -- the guy is probably worth half several hundred mill.

He has a very strong personal interest in bodybuilding and supplementation (which is fairly obvious from the magnificent physique he maintains at 60 years old.)

Whats the relationship between Instone and Avant? Is Instone gonna be selling Avant stuff under their label?

I agree, but are you sure it's not pure boredom and the fact that he cannot make a bankable movie anymore?

I haven't recieved my sample yet. Overall it looks a good product line but the pricing looks very high from what I've seen. A friend of mine said a bottle of Forza-T (45 caps) was $79 and LeanFire fatburner was $44.99 at GNC. Hopefully it will be available online soon at more reasonable prices.

I just know about everyone involved with the company (minus Sly)

I doubt we will license anything to them -- probably would have been pretty likely, but the person who I am closest to in the company was fired.

Hehe -- he actually has Rocky VI coming out soon, and he is involved with the reality show The Contender (produced by Mark Burnett, I think, though I could be wrong on that)

Pretty sure he is doing fine

There is no relation between InStone and Avant. The MRP tastes quite good, but I am unimpressed with some of the other (underdosed) formulas.

The president of InStone is Pat Arnold's brother, btw.
