creatine has worked wonders for me. however several of my friends are huge skeptics, claiming its all water weight and when you drop off all the weight turns to fat. i know most of you here support creatine use. please list whether or not you believe in using creatine, and reasons why (studies, personal experiences).
ill start with a personal experience of mine. last spring i finally hit a point where i wasn't gaining any weight, no doubt due to poor nutrition. i weighed 162 lbs. i then loaded up on creatine, and didn't change my diet. within the first week, i gained 6 pounds (expected). within 7 weeks i hit 178.6 lbs. i dropped off the creatine, and i fell back down to 173 lbs, where i stayed for several months when i stopped working out (working construction in the heat doesnt make you want to go the gym afterwards). 11 pound net gain for 7 weeks while on a poor diet. not too bad. i also managed to finally put up 210 lbs on my bench. after dropping off, i could only put up 195.
again, please post your opinion and why. thanks!

yes, creatine causes intra-muscular water weight gain, that is true; and yes you will lose that water weight if you stop taking it.
personally, I no longer use regular creatine.
