    Creatine Experiation Dates

I have a decent supply of creatine I purchased 1 and a half years ago from Prolab over the internet. 17 months to be exact.

Is 2 years the mark of when it loses potency?

Is my creatine losing potency now?

    Thanks in advance.

The expiration date should be printed on the bottle if it is Prolab creatine. If your creatine is expired throw it out, it won't do anything but harm your kidneys.

Definitely don’t throw it away. From what I have heard supplants only loses 10% or something around there of it’s potency every year after the expiration date.

I think this depends on if it was open or not. Unopened I would keep it...if you opened it and then closed it tightly and stored it well it should be ok as well. If it got moisture in it then it may have started to go bad (turned from creatine to creatinine...not a good thing)

A more shady way to deal is this:

bring it to GNC at the mall...tell them you lost your receipt and that you tried it and it gave you the shits...and that you had used GNC's brand in the past with no problem so you would like to exchange it (of course you say you got the Prolab stuff from your mom as a present and that she said she bought it at GNC back home)

hey...when i was in college i had to get my supplements any way i could....besides shoplifting of course.
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

When one door closes another door opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the ones which open for us.
