Creatine, multi, and protein are the 3 essentials IMO. You will have to try it and see how much water you retain, and yes it will increase your strength.
Is it possible to maintain a lean ripped physique while using creatine supplements or will I retain too much water? and will creatine really enhance my strength? I have fooled around with creatine in the past but never stayed on long enough to see If I had results or not???

Creatine will enhance strength assuming you work out intensely and put the additional CP to good use at the end of a set.
The water retention from creatine occurs within the muscle so you should still appear lean, but perhaps a little softer. If you feel you're bloated stop using it and you'll soon expel the excess water.
