    Creatine causing pains?

I am experiencing pains in my chest soon after I drink my protein shake. It is a powder that consists of protein and 3 grams of creatine in a serving. I drink the serving in intervals throughout the day (about 4-5). This means that i'm not even consuming 1 gram of creatine everytime I feel these pains. It is a kind of squeezing pain on the left side of my chest. I hear people taking 5-20 grams of this stuff and it is safe. Oh and when I first started to use this powder I did not feel anything until a couple weeks after. Hope someone knows the reason for this .

Ummm... if youre feeling a pain on the left side of your chest kind of where your heart is, you should probably stop taking the friggin creatine. It's rather retarded to keep ingesting something thats causing you pain, especially when its right where the heart is.

I'm no doctor but I find it HIGHLY unlikely that the creatine is the cause. You don't say how old you are but if it continues, go to the doctor and get a stress ekg.

I'm 18 years old for you that wanted to know. I guess I'll stop taking the supplement for now until I speak with my doctor. I just think it HAS to be something with the drink because it happens maybe 30 seconds to a minute after I drink it... and only then. It lasts for like 5 seconds sometimes on and off but not very long.

Oh and I've actually experienced these types of pains before I ever started to take any supplement. I've never spoken to my doctor about it so I guess maybe the drink triggers whatever is wrong already.

it has nothing to do with the creatine consumption.

is your shake made with ice or just cold water ?
