    Add what to Whey Protein?

Over the Summer I use to drink two scoops of Whey protein with Milk for my breakfast, and take Iron, Multvitamin, and Vietman C. And worked out pretty much every day. With only 1 day rest and I think I did very good progress till I took one week off and came back to the gym and noticed that I felt much better with the 1 week off, so I was over training. Anywayz, I went back to school and I tried to work out 4 times a week when ever I can but I forgot to take my proteins and my vietmans and now I am out of shape again. Whats depressing me the most is that my stomach has gotten bigger than over the summer, and that I have put on 15lbs of weight. Not sure if its fat or muscle because most of the 15 lbs came when I was working out a little at school. Right now I am not sure whats the best thing for me. Should I Just go back to my taking my protein and should I take it after I work out? or go back to my routain of taking it in the monring? Any Ideas?? Thank you

If your goal is to gain muscle you should be consuming at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.

I usually mix my whey powder with water and ice, once in awhile with milk.

As Prince mentioned, you should be getting at least 1 gram of protein per lb. of bodyweight each day. This should be spread evenly over 5-6 meals each day. So, to answer your question...yes, get your protein with breakfast, and after your workout, and at all your other meals! It does not have to be whey all the time, however. It can be chicken, fish, turkey, eggs, red meat, etc...

well i read somewhere that the lactose sugar and other things in milk slow down the protein intake or something like that.. i am not sure if i am correct on this or not...

Mix in milk, you get caesine(sp?) slow absorbing and anti-catabolic, and whey fast absorbing and anabolic

Yes, the milk will slow the absorbtion of the whey...good at all times of the day with the exception of post workout when you want FAST ACTING protein.

If you are looking to get cut, use skim milk!
