How bad am i hurting my gains?

My post workout shake consists of 1 packet of prolabs lean mass matrix (40P,40C,8F) i medium banana, about 1 cup skim milk, and ice all blended together. The protein is a blend of both casein and whey and the carbs are instantized whole food sources (rice, oats, etc.)

I know that this is not what most people reccommend (why isolate and dex/malto w/ minimal fat)

is this something i should really be worrying about or will this still cover me as a good PWO meal that is relativly quick and easy to digest, or should i go the more reccomended route?

In the post-workout time frame speed is the name of the game. A whey protein blend will leave the stomach in approximately 20 minutes and will supply muscles with much needed amino acids. Casein based proteins on the otherhand offer a sustained release of protein over many hours. With regard to PWO carbs, again, keep it simple: glucose, maltodextrin or honey etc. Supplying nutrients in their simplest form allows the body to get out of a catabolic state quickly so you can move into an anabolic state.

PWO I have two scoops of whey, a half scoop of glutamine peptides and three scoops of maltodextrin.

Fiber slows down digestion and absorption, also.

IMO...for optimum gains in LBM and fat loss you need to do as many things that have been proven most effective by medical study. whey and water is more effective as a PWO shake than is a blended protein with milk except for those who have an extremely fast metabolism.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
