    Vegetable Juice Tablets

I know I should eat more vegetables but never seem to choke down as many as I should. My question is are these vegetable juice tablets any good? I have seen some that say they have the juice of 45 vegetables in a tablet.

How is it that physically possible? Can you fit 45 servings of any food into one pill? No. That is the most outrageous claim I have heard in a long time.

Just imagine if you could cram 45 hamburgers into one tablet.

logic would dictate that is physically impossible...remember if is sounds to good to be true it usually is when it comes to "miracle" supplements...data from the manufacture can not be trusted...

what about 45 peas? You should take the water out of 45 peas and perhaps fit it into a tablet...
    Are you kidding me????

Of course that is possible. It is just a marketing strategy.
It is probably just a multivitamin tablet. When you buy the thing you are not thinking about the carbs and fiber in the fruit, just the vitamins.
Go to a supplement shop instead.

I looked at it closer and it appears to be like a multivitamin. It says it gives you the nutrient equivilant of 6 servings derived from the enzymes of 45 different vegetables.

    What are Phytonutrients?

Phyto simply means "plant." Phytonutrients, also known as phytochemicals, are a natural blend of fruit and/or vegetable extracts such as blueberry, grape seed and green tea that help keep the body’s cells healthy.

What are the benefits of Phytonutrients?

Produced by plants, the antioxidants in phytonutrients help diminish harmful effects of physical, mental and environmental stress by optimizing the body’s utilization of essential nutrients, as opposed to vitamins and minerals, which provide nutritional substances to promote vitality and general well-being. In addition, phytonutrients protect the body’s cells from accelerated aging caused by free radicals. It is believed that phytonutrients can boost the immune system, aid digestion and protect the arteries.

What are the types of Phytonutrients?

    • Carotenoids
    • Flavonoids
    • Phytoestrogens
    • Lycopene
    • Isoflavone
    • Anthocyanins
    • Zeaxanthin
    • Lutein
    How are Phytonutrients measured?

The power of phytonutrients is measured in ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity).

    What does ORAC mean?

The USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging developed the ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) method as a way to measure the total antioxidant activity of foods. Dietary guidelines recommend five servings of fruits and vegetables daily which correlates to approximately 2,500 ORAC units.

Which Foods & Beverages Contain Phytonutrients?

    • Tomatoes
    • Red onions
    • Green tea
    • Grapes
    • Red cabbage
    • Broccoli
    • Parsley
    • Spinach
    • Raspberry
    • Blackberry
    • Garlic
    • Kale
    • Strawberries
    • Blueberries
    • Red wine
    • Oranges
    • Grapefruit
    • Lemons
    • Carrots
    • Pumpkin
    • Spices

Heh, I was watching FitTV and a full 30 minute show was devoted to these types of things. It looked like the real deal...but I am always skeptical when it comes to this type of thing. I think ill just eat my brocolli and celery.
