Amino Acids, Glutamine -pills or powders?

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS
High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com
just wondering if after a work out what is the best way "for the body" to take these two supplements...in pills/capsuls or powders?
I know glutamine comes in powders for drinks and in pills...
amino's-BCAAs , also seen in pills..
again, just wondering which is better for the body as far as faster consumption..

if either, would someone recommend a brand of either powders or capsuls for me to purchase?

thanks in advance..

Powder is cheapest and slightly faster acting. MRM BCAA+G is good. Ice is also a good one. Forget L-Glutamine, get glutamine peptides. Check www.bulknutrition.com for these.

Go with powder. Any name brand is fine. L-glutamine is fine as well, as long as you take it on an empty stomach about 30 min before a meal. There is a product called Glutamine Select by Beverly International that has 5 g glutamine and 3 g BCAAs per serving, which makes thing easy.

As a general rule I would go with powders over tablets, with the exception of BCAAs. I have ON's BCAA powder and even half a teaspoon makes me want to throw up the taste is so bad.

Some recent studies are even showing that Glut should not be taken with larger amounts of protein (ie shakes) because they will not be absorbed very well. One even stated that just prior to workout was the best time due to it being ramped into your system faster and in place for recovery already by the end of your workout. I started taking one of my doses (5g) right before my workout. OF course, its hard to tell if it is making a difference because of what glut does for you. Just another view.

Id suggest going with powder glutamine just because its easier. Youd have to take, usually, about ten caps of pill glutamine to equal a serving of powdered glut. Much easier in powder, IMO.

I read an article on this in a magazine. The amino acids that have a higher molecular weight get absorbed more readily, and glutamine is very light--so it often doesn't get aborbed when protein is present in the GI. Does anyone have a link for an article that addresses this issue? I'd like to have the reference.

I agree that the BCAA are good in pill form. I have the ON caps, too. I take them right after my workout and before I go to bed. I take my glutamine powder in my PWO shake....is that bad? I had never heard about not mixing it with large amounts of protein.
