    Glutamine, ALA and Biotin

I've got a question. I'm cutting right now and I've heard that glutamine and ALA are good supplements to take when your cutting. But, I've also heard that if you take ALA you should take Biotin with it. Any input? Also, I'm going to put the glutamine in my protein shakes, should I have it in the morning or at night or does it not really matter? As far as the ALA, do I just take this on my high/cheat day or everyday. How much of each?

I've never heard of having to use Biotin with ALA. the only real reason I can think of having to supplement with Biotin would be if you consume a lot of raw eggs.

If you want to use glutamine in your shakes you need to use glutamine peptides. I would use it at least morning and before bed in 10 gram doses. And the ALA I would use 200 mg with each high carb meal or the meals that contain the greatest amounts of carbohydrates...

What, in simple terms does 'ala' do if you take it with higher carb meals??? Should you only take it with complex carb meals-or could you take it with high 'simple' carb meals??

some suggest R-ALA is the way to go. (and of course others say the additional cost isn't warranted) i haven't used both but i think more people seem to prefer the R-ALA. you may get some good info here on that issue - if not i'd suggest doing a few searches and reading up before deciding between the 2. i've also not heard of adding biotin.

I used to know this exactly, but i've since forgotten the specifics. Anyway, it's got something to do with ALA and biotin using the same transport mechanisms or some shit like that, that means that you can develop a biotin deficiency (not sure of the likelihood though) from regular ALA use.

Can't remember how much of a problem it is though, and what doses start to affect it significantly.
