    Can't lift for weeks...

Due to injuries and upcoming surgery, I can't lift for at least 6 weeks. I will be doing some moderate intensity cardio during this time. I would appreciate anyone's advice on supplements that would minimalize muscle loss during this off time. I am considering making a 6-oxo/7-oxo transdermal. BCAAs, L-glutamine and milk isolate protein will be used, too. Thanks

Well, maybe tomorrow someone will have some useful advice for me. Otherwise, my thread might get quite lonely.

I can't say that I know a lot about supps designed to keep muscle mass, but what kind of anti-catabolics are there out there?

Are there any PH's that will help you keep it on that you could run for the next 6 weeks?

You wanted advice so I figured I would provide you with some questions

    I don't blame you.

My real question though: Are there PH's that slow down catabolism?

Beyond what you see on this board if you have health insurance you might want to see a sports nutrition doctor or just your MD and ask if there is anything they have that can help you keep muscle mass.

Just do your best, keep your protein high, and eat right. There is a phenominon called muscle memory. Dont sweat taking time off too much. IMO you are making too big a deal of this.

Its not a supplement, but have you considered growth hormone, especially post op. it would also help speed the healing process.

I am making too big of a deal about it. I should look forward to relaxing during the time off and being able to lift right again after. My shoulder has been screwed for about half a year. Once I am whole again, I'll put it all back on in no time.

Exactly, get some R&R and come back strong. I am about to start back(after 16weeks) so I know how it feels. Good luck bro.

Eat less. That is the right time for cutting or you will be putting some good fat.
There is no supplement designed to keep your muscles while you are off the gym. Maybe anabolics would do the trick but I donīt know nothing about them.
