Need help with last weeks of contest prep....uggh, I'm so tired.

Okay, has anyone tried hot-rox? I'm in the last few weeks of training for my first contest and want to know if a) this stuff works, and b) does anyone know of any surefire NATURAL ways to burn fat off other than low carbs with a weekly refeed, green tea+bitter orange+aspirin, and the normal assortment of stuff? More or less, I am trying to concentrate on the nutritional aspect of it all. Training is fine-but if you have anything to share, that'd be great.

    Thanks

I have used Hot-Rox and i think it's a great product. It gives me a lot of energy, but i have no knowledge of contest prep so I can't help you there. Im doing a cycle of M1T and have started becoming pretty lethargic but after 3 pills im fine.

The Hot Rox. said it doesn't work like it claims.

You might want to look at the amount of carbs your getting, they may be too low and if you are getting enough sleep at night.

I'd steer clear of Hot-Rox. At this point, as far as fat loss, its all about your diet. If you are that worried, you are probably screwed. Water-loss is key now.

Its not that I am worried, I was looking for more and different alternatives. Doing the same stuff repetitively gets me crazy.

I can "get by" on a 1/2 cup bowl of All Bran for breakfast and a tomato after my workout. On the weekends, I refeed all day with slow burning carbs and with a cheat meal for dinner/dessert.

I'm a bit confused-how can my carb count be too low for fat burning? Surely the next step would be ketosis-isnt that an ideal environment for fat burning?

You have to have carbs for energy. All carbs are not bad, its the choice of carbs that you choose. If you go for muffins, stuff with sugar and processed stuff, yes they care bad when do a precontest prep. But rice, spuds, oats, etc are not.

If your dragging that bad, you need to throw something into the mix containing a lil more carbs than what you have been having. Your metabo should kick back in gear and the fatloss should start once again.

Re elauate your diet before adding supps in that you may not need and have no clue how your body would react. They could have the total opposite effect than what your hoping for.

TP is very correct when he says its all in the diet and the water loss at this point.

well, you have me intrigued. So at 218 lbs, what could you suggest? I know thats a very broad statement, but any ideas would be welcome. Nutritionally, I will try anything.
