the fats in MuscleMilk are MCT's. they are not metabolised the same way as longer chained fatty acids. the body treats them more like carbs with out the increase in serum glucose or insulin..

okay then, so the muscle milk container says u should take it in the morning, pre-during-post workout, then at night...now if i do this, ill have to buy a new container every week. how many times a day do u suggest taking it, or how many times a day did YOU take it???

IMO...it can be used any time except pre WO. I wouldn't use it then because it does contain casein...

it will slow the absoption of the whey protien which is not optimum for recovery. for post workout you want to use a straight whey protein..

    Muscle Milk kicks ass.

Look around, you can get it for $18 a tub.

BTW: "Farenheit 911 a TRUE documentary"

That's bullshit-->it's comedy, man. Newsweek and a lot of other true journalists don't like being associated with his style of "mockumentary," present company included. How old are you?

Muscle milk is the absolute best tasting shake mix I have every had. If you shop around you can find very reasonable prices for the stuff. The fat content is high, but as stated earlier they are MCT's which help with energy and combating catabolism. I personaly also get a feeling of fullness and well being. The peanut butter is a lifter's dream come true!

For all doubters, check the New York Times - large factual article about Cheney's cronies at Haliburton.

yea i want to try the pineapple or pina colada flavor, mainly cuz i have a real sensitive stomach, and stuff like chocolate or peanut butter would make me, do inappropriate stuff, lol. Yea i hear a lot about the fat content, so right after a workout is not the best time to have it. MuscleMilk also says its good at burning fat, is this true for u guys??

Some say that MCT's help in fat loss but there is no definitive proof of that. the short chained MCT molecules do provide energy are far less likely to get stored as fat than longer chained fatty acids...

Anti-Bush and Pro-Michael Moore are two different things. Seriously, what have you studied and how old are you? Do you just believe everything you read, or do you do any in-depth research on your own?

no Brodus, ive always been a huge democrat, always looked into Bush's past, and yes i can tell u most of what Moore said was true, John McCain even said Michael Moore was right, of course ANY republican is going to say hes wrong, any democrat will say hes right, but ive looked into it. I dont like Bush at all, i think michael moore is awesome. I know what im talking about, my favorite hobby is politics. but this isnt a political forum, so lets not get into politics here.

These politcal/supplement threads always rock!!..good job

Even MCT's overdone will make you fat??..9 cals per gram just like any other fat so I imagine that you wouldn't want to go crazy with the stuff. I never supplemented with MCT's but it most be benificial in some cases ie. cutting/low carb diets. As Lam mentioned above the body treats them more like carbs w/o "the increase in serum glucose or insulin."

Italian44 - I have not tried the tropical flavors, so I can't comment there. If fat is a concern, I have also taken Prolab's Lean Mass Matrix and MHP's "Up Your Mass." Both of these are lower in fat content and taste awesome. One site I would recommend for low prices would be www.dpsnutrition.com.

On another note - unfortunately there will always be some people that can't grasp the big picture of humanity; but really, what is one to do?
