Post WO drink

I wuz thinkin' 50g of Whey, 50g table sugar, 1 cup of 1% milk. That's about 500 Cals'. What do you think? The goal is to spike insulin for more efficient AA transport and increase per day Cal's (I lost 12 lbs - change in life situation caused a 8 week lay off). I used to do just fine with 23g whey in one cup of milk, but I really need to get back fast.

Post W/O you don't won't any fat. This slows down digestion and absorption. Use water instead of milk.

First of all you dont want table suger in your PWO shake, this is sucrose and will not replenish blood glucouse and take you out of a catabollic condition the same way as dextrose will. You should also have a more complex carb in there in the form of maltodextrin as well. You dont want milk in your PWO as this contains Casien and will severly delay the digestion of your PWO shake. Milk also doesnt deliver the nutrients the same way as water will as well as not regulating blood preussure the same way as water.
To recap a more optimal PWO shake should contain water whey and a 50/50 mix of a simple and a more complex carb (Dextrose/Maltodextrin)
