    The best of cheap whey

I guess the name says it all I am looking for a good whey protein powder which is also cheap. I don't want any crap but I can't afford high(er) prices for it.

    Any ideas?

That seems ok, but I would have real trouble trying to work out how many kilograms I would need. Not sure of the website but I can get a two months supply of York weight gainer for £19.99

lol man don't buy york weight gainer, unless you wanna be fat!

check out this www.sports-nutrition.net its part of reflex they just sell the same products at much cheaper prices (due to no labeling or advertising costs), its a nice little profit centre for them

check it out, i and many others use all their supplements and i can strongly recommend them

yes i know its £45.99 but you get 10lbs (which is 4 x 2.5lbs tubs), so for 4 tubs its a pretty good deal! it will last you a few months! (depending how much you use)

stu 21 Lndn - where do you get this taurine from and what dose it do exactly? is it working for you? i hear others taking creatine with taurine but don't know much about its benefits

i haven't tried their creatine stack, i read a few reviews of it and that is the only product on their that i've heard anything negative about (just stuff like it don't mix/taste too good) but some seemed to love it so its your call, i know their whey, isolate, glutamine and ALA is all off the hook though, they are just so affordable and reliable and IMO all essential - so its great for them!

    peace

Taurine is an amino acid that very few people have ever tried. This is probably because it is much cheaper than most other amino acids available and most companies choose not to market it, as the profit margins are too low.

However Taurine can have very positive effects on your workouts and body composition and is extremely under-rated.

    Taurine in more detail

The main benefit is that it acts as a cell-volumiser, just like creatine, it draws water into the muscle cell.

It has 3 main properties, these are:

    Your muscles appear larger.

Your muscles can exert more force on objects.
Protein synthesis in the muscle cell is increased.

It also mimics the action of Insulin, forcing glucose into cells.

Taurine is naturally found in abundance throughout the body especially in the heart, central nervous system and brain.

The most well known effect of Taurine is the increased energy and well being. You will feel like you can train forever.

    Suggested Use for Taurine

For the best results consume 1 grams - 3 grams of Taurine 30 minutes before your workout. For post workout consume 1 grams - 3 grams of Taurine. For a dietary aid 1 grams - 3 grams can be used 3 times daily

stu where are you buying your taurine man??

i went to H&B today and 100 x 500mg caps is like £6-7, so i'd need 6 caps to get 3g per serving which works out at only 16 servings! that might last a week or so! (exactly 8 workouts if taking a serving before and a serving after) so ain't that cheap!
