    Glucose Uptake

Can someone tell me if there are any current supplements that are used for say shuttling excess sugar or carbs into the muscles for proper use? I use Alpha Lipoic Acid and am considering possibly Chromium/Vanadium/Zinc or ZMA,but I'd like to know what the best ones are.

r-ALA or ALA will help but you need twice the dosage of ALA. I would take 300 mg of ALA before and after training. getting in enough fiber will also help increase insulin sensitivity, aim for at least 30 grams a day and keep the saturated fat intake low (less than 25% of total fat)...

you can try Chromium/Vanadium but IMO ALA is the way to go especially since it is a great antioxidant for the liver and for fight free radicals...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

I don't think I want to increase insulin sensitivity, since I think it's already sensitive. I think I have blood sugar issues, specifically that hyperinsulin thing, where even if I eat the slightest amount of carbs I blow up.

blow up in what way ?

when insulin sensitivity in increased less insulin is secreted to do the same job and nutrient uptake in skeletal muscle is optimized. if you easliy gain fat than most likely you have glucose clearing issues which means your insulin sensitivity is probably low...
