1-AD - Get Libido Back Question

I foolishly used 1-AD about 7 months ago and my HPTA was completely shut down, just like steroids would do. My questions to you professional's is this......

What do I need to take/what have you guys taken in situations like this to bring your HPTA back to life? I heard about 6-OXO.........will this work? And I also heard clomid works also?

AND how long do I have to be on this drugs to get it back? Weeks, months, etc.?

Lemme know,

AdamD.

Well, you it is critical that you take the stuff for post-cycle therapy(a term you seem to have never heard of) as soon as your cycle ends. Post cycle for 1AD is usually 6OXO, but I don't know if this far past your cycle if it will help you at all. I don't know for sure, but this far out, I would think that Nolvadex and HCG would be your best bet. Wait till some more knowledgable people ring in on the subject. I just know how to take care of it when you are supposed to.

stick with nolva/clomid. HCG is suppressive.

Honestly , I would consult a doctor for this. Everyone is trying to help , but pct is a must RIGHT after you finish your prohormone cycle . I dont think anyone knows if 6-oxo or nolva would actually help you 7 months after . They are trying to help you , no doubt , but heck its not what we usually see , people ask question on which pct to use right after their cycle not 7 months after.

If you have been off of all PH's for 7 months and still have no libido you need to go get your testosterone levels checked asap.

I've read that Clomid has a permanent negative effect on vision. Is there any truth to that?

If your nads are not shrunken, there is no need for HCG. If you haven't recovered after 7 months, see a doc--as Rob said.

i read this somewhere too

from what i've read i've concluded that nolva is superior to clomid in terms of price and effectiveness, so i'm sticking to nolva pct's on my cycles

Ok, would someone be able to recommend which website I would be able to order clomid and nolvadex on? Anyone have any favorites, which offers low costs and quick shipping time?

And let's just pretend, that I am starting this PCT right after my cycle of 1-AD, about how long would it normally take to recover from loss of libido?

AD

Are you blind or something ... You are not in the same situation as someone that just finished a cycle. Go see a doctor and stop being stubborn or pretending you just ended your cycle. IMO you've already did something which is really not good for your body , why do you risk making this worse ? Go see a doctor and see what he tells you instead of risking doing another mistake. Not my problem , but geez , you should learn from your mistakes , you already did 1-ad without being well informed , why dont you inform yourself correctly this time ?

Oh, okay, I didn't know that. Why does it say....

"THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR HUMAN USE, THIS PRODUCT CAN BE HARMFUL IF INGESTED."

Is this just a disclaimer type of thing?

Serioulsy, what is recommend? Clomid or Nolva? Any difference? What starts up the HPTA better?

It is just a disclaimer so that they can sell patented prescription drugs without patent infringement.

If you were taking something for post cycle RIGHT AFTER YOUR CYCLE, then it would be Nolvadex for 1AD, but as far out as you are from your cycle, neither will help you. GO TO THE DOCTOR!

It's not an issue of patent infringement, most of the drugs they sell are generics. The issue is that they are selling prescription drugs to people without prescriptions, that's why they say the products are for "research purposes" and "not for human consumption".

Listen to me now, for the sake of your health. Clomid and Nolvadex only get you back up to what your nuts can produce on their own and only if you take them RIGHT AFTER A CYCLE. As long as you have been off of your cycle, they won't boost your production. All clomid is going to do to you at this point is give you permanant irreversible eyesight damage.

Dude, just go see a doctor. So you might be a little embarrassed - so what? If you're a teenager, you might have to have your mom take you and you might get in trouble. Big deal. Your body's endocrine system should take priority over these stupid little things. We're talking about your body here, and you've got to live with it the rest of your life.

Do what we're saying, go to the doctor. Holy crap, even Rob chimed in and said get your testosterone levels checked. If nothing else, listen to him. Don't jack with it anymore by taking clomid and denying the problem.

Just looking out for you...

Although clomid/nolva therapy should commence immediately after a PH/steriod cycle for maximum effectiveness there are studies that show it's useful for steroid induced hypogonadism. See this study below:-

Quote:
Use of clomiphene citrate to reverse premature andropause secondary to steroid abuse.

Tan RS, Vasudevan D.

Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Texas Health Sciences Center, Houston, Texas 77030, USA. robert.s.tan@uth.tmc.edu

OBJECTIVE: To report a case of symptomatic hypogonadism induced by the abuse of multiple steroid preparations that was subsequently reversed by clomiphene. DESIGN: Case report. SETTING: University-affiliated andrology practice within family practice clinic. PATIENT(S): A 30-year-old male. INTERVENTION(S): Clomiphene citrate, 100-mg challenge for 5 days, followed by treatment at same dose for 2 months. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE(S): Clinical symptoms, androgen decline in aging male questionnaire, total T, FSH, LH. RESULT(S): Reversal of symptoms, normalization of T levels with LH surge, restoration of pituitary-gonadal axis. CONCLUSION(S): Clomiphene citrate is used typically in helping to restore fertility in females. This represents the first case report of the successful use of clomiphene to restore T levels and the pituitary-gonadal axis in a male patient. The axis was previously shut off with multiple anabolic steroid abuse.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q..._uids=12524089
Here's a similar study:-

Quote:
Clomiphene increases free testosterone levels in men with both secondary hypogonadism and erectile dysfunction: who does and does not benefit?

Guay AT, Jacobson J, Perez JB, Hodge MB, Velasquez E.

Center for Sexual Function (Endocrinology), Peabody, Massachusetts 01960, USA. andre.t.guay@lahey.org

Secondary hypogonadism is more common than primary gonadal failure and is seen in chronic and acute illnesses. Although testosterone has a role in erections, its importance in erectile dysfunction (ED) has been controversial. Hypogonadism produced by functional suppression of pituitary gonadotropins has been shown to correct with clomiphene citrate, but with a modest effect on sexual function. We wondered if longer treatment would produce improved results. A total of 178 men with secondary hypogonadism and ED received clomiphene citrate for 4 months. Sexual function improved in 75%, with no change in 25%, while significant increases in luteinizing hormone (P<0.001) and free testosterone (P<0.001) occurred in all patients. Multivariable analysis showed that responses decreased significantly with aging (P<0.05). Decreased responses also occurred in men with diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and multiple medication use. Since these conditions are more prevalent with aging, chronic disease may be a more important determinant of sexual dysfunction. Men with anxiety-related disorders responded better to normalization of testosterone. Assessment of androgen status should be accomplished in all men with ED. For those with lower than normal age-matched levels of testosterone treatment directed at normalizing testosterone with clomiphene citrate is a viable alternative to giving androgen supplements.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q..._uids=12904801
The key question here is whether you have hypogonadism. This is best determined by seeing a doctor, although you can have you test and LH etc tested by private labs.

Personally I'd go and see a doctor before you start screwing around with your hormones again.
