    Question Question On Bcaa

I noticed on another thread dg806 and Twin Peak discussing BCAAs. I have been considering using them but was intriged to know why not to use them on a bulk????? I now they help prevent muscle breakdown after working out.
    Any thoughts?

They can be used at all times. I mostly use them before cardio or if I am about to start lifting and haven't eaten for over a few hours. Along with Glutamine.

You dont need them on a bulk, because of increased protein.(assuming your on a high protein diet)

BCAAs are not cheap. Whey concentrate is. Whey has plenty of BCAAs, so your money is better spent on whey when bulking.

I find BCAA to be cheap. I always get ON's BCAA 1000 caps. I take them right after a workout with my protein and right before I go to bed.

an effective dosage of BCAA's is around .2 grams per KG of BW any less than that IMO isn't worth it. they are definetly best used when there is a severe caloric deficit...

so the average 200 lb weight trainer would need to take in 18 grams...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Many whey powders are about 25% BCAA.
