Most Micellar Casien of any Protien

I wanted to get some peoples opinions on this:

    http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do...itan?id=525024

If you have tried it or not, what do you think?

Personally, I take 2 scoops after a workout, and it takes a long time to get hungry again. With regular whey, im hungry like 20-30 min later.

you should be consuming whey after training and then follow that up with a balanced low GI meal about 45-60 minutes later...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

LAM is saying to forget having any casein after training and to have whey ONLY. Casein is better used at other times of the day.

Whey has a very rapid digestion rate compared to casein.

After you train your muscles require protien as soon as possible therefore it is more beneficial to consume whey protien, which is digested quickly.

whilst not training your body requires a steady supply of protien to maintain muscle therefore it is more beneficial to consume casein, as it will provides your body with a more constant longer lasting source of protien

As well you know, Eric, there's also a strong case for having whey pre/during the workout and following the workout with casein to take advantage of their varying effects on protein synthesis.

Whether it makes a significant difference is another argument.

After tying it both ways and also perusing the research and varying opinions, it is my belief that the optimal way to treat pre and post workout nutrition is with only whey both before and after training. I still feel casein is best left for other times of day.
