    creatine + caffeine...possible mix?

I was told about the benefits of supplementing with creatine even during a cut (just started, day 2!!)...The catch is I use caffeine supplementation during my cuts and am under the impression that the consumption of caffeine may hinder the desired effect of creatine???

    Am I right??

    TY

That is right. Caffeine is a diuretic and will negate the anabolic benefits of creatine because your muscles won't retain the water that helps to preserve and build LBM. I'd ditch the creatine on a cut before the caffeine. Creatine makes it hard for me to cut. With so much available ATP, my body doesn't tap in to the stored fat as easily. Just my experience though. If you are set on using creatine, there is no problem using caffeine with it. You wouldn't want to use the caffeine on a bulk, though.

The only reasons I could think of are these:

1)To provide extra stamina during weight training during caloric deficit.
    2) Possible anti-catabolic properties

My experience show that it interferes with using stored fat for energy.

Does all forms of caffiene make it hard for creatine to work properly? For instance having a couple sodas a day...
