    ECA for obese people

Okay I have a quick question. My brother is thinking of taking an ECA stack to jump start his weight loss. He has already started tweaking his diet. I told him it proabably wasnt a good idea but I wanna know what you all think. He is 6'1" about 300+ lbs. He is not in very good shape. He is gonna start working out with me by doing mostly light cardio to start. He really needs to drop some weight and get himself healthy, is ECA a viable option or should he hold off? Thanks for any help.

Yeah it will help, why wouldn't it

However make sure he understands it's not a magic pill, if he does and he starts seeing some weight coming off, he's going to start popping them thinking that's all he needs to do.
Forget the A, just take EC. Vasopro+Caffeine from 1fast400.com does the trick
My personal advice is to cut those 200mg caffeine pills in half and just take 100mg for each dose. take 3x day. once upon waking up, once with lunch, and once with dinner or pre-workout for energy

IMHO, I think you should start him off right away on a solid weight training program. 3 days a week, compound exercises, high intensity and low reps.

Bench, squat, barbell press, and lat pull down on Monday and Friday

Incline bench, leg press, dumbbell shoulder press, and low cable row on Wednesday

preacher curl after monday and friday workouts

have him do this for a couple months and to really focus on intensity.

bench and shoulder work do 3-4 reps
squat and pulldowns and cable row do 4-6

he should only be able to do 4 of the bench presses, if he can do more, he needs more weight

do a set of each, and then repeat 2 more times. total 3 sets
if it starts getting easy, he can bump up the weight, or he can repeat for another set of each

this will lay out a solid foundation for him to work with. remember, these are COMPOUND exercises.

if he's serious about it, get him on a clean eating plan immediately, otherwise, have him start lifting, and really focus on dropping the junk food, the soda, the snacking, the candy, the SUGAR, etc.

get him motivated!!! help a brother out...literally.

Thanks man. I really wanna help him out. He is my little brother and is in worse shape than my dad is. The kid is only 21. He is strong as shit though, he used to work out and bench about 325 no problem when he was 16. I'll never be able to do that. He is just naturally strong. Too bad he is also very lazy. Yeah I wanna ease him into it so he wont quit on me.

yeah the typical fatboy but with hella strength, lol. so much potential to look REALLY good...you know what i'm saying?

just get his ass into the gym and if he gets more serious, more power to him

it takes about a month for something to become habit..tell him that and see if he wants to force himself to go at it for a month. if he has that desire to begin with, then help him stick with it, and by the time the month is up, he will already be in a groove and keep going

i was pretty much in the same situation, not nearly as heavy, but earlier this year, i started off doing cardio only. i ran every fucking night at my 24 hour and the weight started to come off and kept coming off. that motivated me to research more and i started lifting and i was on a good eating plan by the summer.
if i could go back, i would have started weight training right away, i honestly spent like almost 2 months of just running every day. i came to enjoy running though...which is scary, i was always the chunky kid in elementary and middle school who HATED the mile run, etc. i achieved a personal best of like a 7 minute mile this past summer.

late-summer until now i've been on and off, and i just had surgery last month (wisdom teeth) that i'm finally recovered from, so i'm starting back up next monday.

sound diet and training = tried and true results

Yeah, I can tell he wants to do it he just gets side tracked very easily. None of his friends work out and they all just turned 21 so the only thing on their minds is alcohol. I've just gotta talk him into being mentally stronger than that.

    are his friends fat?

if so, so what, they're all 21 so they're all gonna go out to the clubs and bars now?

i don't know, but last i heard, girls like guys who are fit.

haha, so maybe it'll be good for them to go out..not get attention...and then want to get in shape. then they'll realize along the way that they actually really enjoy it and they're doing it for themselves

I agree with truth on the weight training... tell your little bro that the more muscle he builds the more fat he will burn!

Cardio is important to strengthen your endurance but its really not the MOST effective way to lose fat.

But THE most important issue for your bro is to get a handle on his diet. A few years ago I lost 20lbs of fat just by adjusting what I ate. I recommend a 50% protein / 30% good fats / 20% good carb meal plan... and he NEEDS to keep a food log! Its the only way to seriously realize all the bad stuff you're eating. Fitday.com is a really good place to log your food, exercises, wt loss, etc and its FREE!

i guarantee if he sticks to something like that with a solid training program, he's going to look A LOT better in a few months. have him go until summer? damn he might look like a different person
