di means 2 and tri means 3. that means 2 or 3 creatine molecules attached to a malic acid. as far as which one is more effective im not sure. ive always been of the opinion you shouldnt waste your money on all of these fancy creatine loaders. buy yourself some cheap micronized creatine form allthewhey.com and call it good. good luck
