TriMax

I was checking out fat loss supplements and I stumbled upon a little information about Triacana, in particular a product called TriMax. I wouldn't want to do straight T3, at least yet, but this seems like a milder alternative. However, when I looked for it in online stores I couldn't find it (It was listed at one place but said out of stock). Has it been declared illegal, if so are there any similar products that contain Triacana? Reccomendations? Sorry if this has been answer already, I searched the forum for a little and just found more information on it, but didn't see anything about it's legality.

There are a few places that still sell it, but I recommend T3 over Trimax. http://customnutritionwarehouse.com/...606b3af7cc5a31

Ah I just found this about T3, at avantlabs

The first study that looked at thyroid function and recovery under the influence of exogenous thyroid hormone was undertaken by Greer (7). He looked at patients who were misdiagnosed as being hypothyroid and put on thyroid hormone replacement for as long as 30 years. When the medication was withdrawn, their thyroids quickly returned to normal.

Here is a remark about Greer's classic paper from a later author:

"In 1951, Greer reported the pattern of recovery of thyroid function after stopping suppressive treatment with thyroid hormone in euthyroid [normal] subjects based on sequential measurements of their thyroidal uptake of radioiodine. He observed that after withdrawal of exogenous thyroid therapy, thyroid function, in terms of radioiodine uptake, returned to normal in most subjects within two weeks. He further observed that thyroid function returned as rapidly in those subjects whose glands had been depressed by several years of thyroid medication as it did in those whose gland had been depressed for only a few days" (8)

These results have been subsequently verified in several studies (8,9) and a large number of trials where T3 was used to treat obesity. So, contrary to what has been stated in the bodybuilding literature, there is no evidence that long-term thyroid supplementation will somehow damage your thyroid gland.

Don't believe that it is so "mild" as its misuse can shut down the thyroid just like pure triidothyronine.

I wouldn't take using it lightly, I was just implying it would be milder than straight T3. However after reading about those studies that thyroid activity returns to normal even after years of use of T3 (so I assume this also applies to Triacana), I feel considerably better about it.

Used intelligently, there is little to any thyroid shutdown at all.

Any age minimum for use of T3 or Triacana? I am 19. I couldn't find information on age issues.

In view of the ban on prohormones, Bush just lowered the legal age to 59.

They should make a maximum drinking age. Once you are so old, you can't drink anymore.

A 19 year old metabolism should never need thyroid help.
