Muscle milk

Is muscle milk effective? I am currently taking whey protein and multivitamins... could I take muscle milk with it or would that be over nutrientriced

you should drink you muscle milk before bed and when you wake up

save whey and multis for post workout

i would if i were you! i've heard some pretty nasty stories of young teens taking too much protein and multivits! if i were you i'd save them till your at least 18... taking them now at such an important stage in your development could result in some nasty side effects and at worse your body might become immune to them when you get older

How can you become immune to whey and vitamins?? ... that's like becoming immune to milk and beef.

I just registered for this forum, specifically to answer this question, and correct some retarded advice.

Whey one protein derived from milk. It's a food. It's not bad for you. Take it in your post workout shake, immediatly after workout to prevent catobolism. Do a search for PWO and catabolic and you should know what I mean.

Mulit's are good for anyone. Take one that is iron free. Men don't need the extra iron, as we don't bleed like women every month. Follow the instructions on the bottle. It's usually one or 2 a day. Again, taking it post workout is a great idea.

Ask the right questions, and you'll get better answers. Do some searches for whey protein and casein, and I'm sure you'll learn. To get you started, whey is fast acting (thus, consumin post workout), and casien is slow acting (why you would want it at night), like ASSPUNCTURE said.

Got all that?

Is it mandatory for guys to take a multivitamin without iron? What would be the side effects of taking one with iron?

Unless your a vegetarian, men do not need more iron because of all the red meat we eat. Women need iron because they lose a good amount through menstruation. If you have to much iron in your diet, you can actually get a rusty orange hue to your skin, and bacteria and cancer cells thrive in environments with excess iron.
