    Dumb Question

OK, this may be a dumbass question but I was wondering anyway. I use creatine monohydrate and a whey protien supplement but I still consider myself natural. My friend was over the other day and told me that he was dissapointed and thought that I was natural until he saw the creatine container. He also told me that it was horrible for my liver. I wanted to smash his skinny ass but after he left I wondered about what he said. If I use creatine and protien supplements can I still consider myself natural? And what effects does creatine have on the liver?

I suppose to the 'non-bodybuilder' any supplement is ' not natural ', i remember a person in HighSchool who looked at my protein tub, and commented like this :'Wow is that steroids?!' ...And No I am not joking either...The people who don't know anything about supplements things creatine is just a little less strong compared to Anabolic Steroids, so I am not suprised one bit actually. The way I got round it was to actually EXPLAIN the difference, I said I took protein instead of Eating Meat becaue I couldn't be bothered to cook all the time ...and they were like 'Oooh I get it'. I think I've rambled on enough now.

This reminds me of my aunt, everytime she comes to visit me an my mom, she ask me about my stuff. She thinks I'm taking steroids and the other day she saw me mixing my creatine with water and asked me, what's that? I said, creatine, and she said, creatine? What's that for? Is it safe?

She is also the one who's always arguing when I say I'm on a "diet". For my aunt diet means to stop eating or to eat less, I've tried to explain her millions of times that diet means the food that u eat, and she keeps saying that I gotta eat anything, Mcdonald's and all kind of stuff, without paying attention to the amount of fat, sugar or carbs.

Tell your buddy that creatine and proteins aren't hard on the liver ... It may add a little stress on you kidneys , but thats it ... It has nothing to do with liver . LOL . But with plenty of water , there is no reason to worry about your kidneys when you take creatine.

You are not dumb for asking...how else can you learn without asking questions occassionally. The dumb one is your friend for speaking on a subject he obviously knows nothing about!!
