Your muscles are filled with water, in fact your body is a great deal water. When you take Creatine it pulls the water into your muscles making them bigger and fuller. You should also be stronger and be able to lift more on creatine. Since you are taking Creatine you want to make sure that you drink enough water to keep your body functioning correctly. It is not a bad thing.

Subcutaneous water is what is usually referred to as "water weight." This is water under the skin which tends to make you look more bloated and even a little fatter.

As mentioned, creatine pulls water into the muscle cells, which is a positive thing. This creates a more anabolic environment, makes pumps better, makes you stronger and gives your muscles a fuller look.

    This is somewhat true.

The point of using Creatine is to lift heavier. At least this is my understanding. If you lift heavier you should put on more muscle than you would without it. When you stop you will lose some water weight, but hopefully keep the wonderful new muscle.

Some of the initial weight gain is water weight, however, after that, gains come from increased protein synthesis, nitrogen retention, and strength increases, leading to more muscle growth.

The water weight associated with creatine is water weight that as mentioned by the others who hit your site. I dont see any point of putting water weight into your muscles of course unless you want size I relly dont know how much your muscles will grow while using creatine. My experimenting with creatine is tha that I gained weight and all it is is water weight, if you have alot of water retention to begin with (subcutaneous) it doesnt really matter how big uyou get. Look at Former Mr. Olympia Frank Zane and his Vacuum pose. Also his increible symmetry and proportion, compared to the bloated bellies on those who are winning today. Im not saying it was caused by creatine just showing you that classic physiques should rule compared to the bloated gorillas in the sport today. So if your muscles get bigger but there is no definition whats the point?. Creatine does not increase your definition. If Im wrong someoene please correct my madness. Also dont believe your eyes when you read thes new ads that present themselves as articles in all of the major bodybuilding magazines. Theses guys are competitive bodybuilders who are in off season before and in competitive shape after. Dont buy into the hype its bull shit Take care train hard and enjoy life I hope ive been of some help send a reply to my post and I will respond.

There is a big difference between subcutaneous water (under the skin) and water within the muscles. Subcutaneous water will blur definition, but water inside the muscle will not. "Volumizing" the muscles with water, as creatine does, will trigger positive anabolic processes within the muscle which will lead to hypertrophy over time, not just "water weight."

The sure fire way to keep your water weight down is just to drink lots of it. The less you drink the more your body will want to hold onto it.
