Should I take anything for knees?

My knees crack often (not all the time) when I bring my lower leg up or squat down. I don't have any pain in them really. (Except once or twice when I squated wrong )

Should I be taking anything for them or no?
    Something like fish oil maybe?
I do have tuna or salmon usually 3-4 times a week.

(Other supps I'm on are multi-vitamin, chewable vitamin C, VNS Jacked (CEE w/ NO2) and 100% Whey)

Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM are great for improving joint health and have a lot of postive clinical studies to back them up. SAM-e is also good, although a little pricy.

I mean, is it normal for knees to crack or is that a sign that they're getting kinda worn? I don't really have any pain so I'm not sure if it's a problem, or if it's getting to be one at all.

Well my right knee was cracking when i was going up stairs....went on for a few days and has since stopped. Started after a big leg workout. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Could that be any more uninformed a statement? I said there's not any pain unless I squat wrong on them (happened once or twice). I also don't kneel that often, they usually just crack when I do. Did you even read my first post before you replied?

Wow, you're the first majorly immature person I've met on this forum, congrats on that.

...Don't take it too hard, I'm sure you won't be the last...

So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

I have pretty dodgy knees, a hereditary thing for me I think and the fact that I am tall, my dad is actually in hospital this week for knee replacement surgery.
My knees are very audibly crackly even when going up and down stairs, I'm due to get them scoped sometime soon, I go through phases of pain with them.
I take Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM... I think they help a little for the discomfort but do diddly for snap, crackle, pop.

So basically I don't need to take anything until I feel pain then?

How would knee pads help unless you were prone to constantly falling on your knees? You mean knee supports right?

I can see knee supports helping, but I did a search for pads and they're like the things I wore when I was 6 and went roller blading...

I did and it's not really making any sense, unless you're refering to your little "joke."
